University Partners & Programs

  • Searle Center for Teaching and Learning
    The Searle Center organizes programs and workshops that help enhance their teaching through programs and workshops that help them develop new teaching strategies and in-classroom. 
  • Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) at Northwestern
    CIRTL is a network of universities working to enhance undergraduate education in STEM and SBE. 
  • Northwestern Career Advancement (NCA)
    NCA provides workshops, trainings, and career treks. One-on-one career advising is provided to undergraduate and graduate students. 
  • Office of Postdoctoral Affairs
    The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs connects postdoctoral trainees with resources ranging from career and professional development to work/life support. One-on-one career advising is provided to postdoctoral fellows.
  • Postdoc Academy
    The Postdoc Academy is a comprehensive online and in-person professional development program that focuses on building the skills you need to make the most of your postdoc and transition into the next phase of your career. Postdocs can enroll in a flexible online course and/or join a learning community with local postdocs.
  • The Writing Place
    The Writing Place is Northwestern’s center for peer-writing consultations. A Writing Place consultant can help you at any stage of the writing process, from talking about ideas to developing a plan to revising and editing a draft. Consultations are free and available to anyone in the Northwestern community.
  • Center for Civic Engagement (CCE)
    CCE supports students, faculty, staff, and alumni as they enhance their own academic experiences while contributing to stronger communities and a more engaged university.
  • Office of Fellowships
    Office of Fellowships offers resources to help students and alumni conceptualize and achieve their ambitions with the support of external funding. 
  • Northwestern University Libraries
    The University Library regularly organizes workshops on research tools, such as workshops on citation management software and patent discovery and analytics platforms.
