Each month the center hosts a social hour for center members to meet, build community and talk science. During the pandemic, this was hosted on Discord with trivia and other games. Bagels & Fridays
Bi-weekly the center fellows and scholars gather on Friday morning for a discussion of their latest findings and bagels.
Outdoors Group
If you are interested in kayaking, canoeing, hiking, cycling, and camping around the Midwest, please contact Cody FitzGerald at cody.fitzgerald@northwestern.edu. He will be organizing outdoor trips this spring, summer, and fall. This is an excellent way to be in nature and meet other postdocs and graduate students with similar interests. Bicycling around Northern Illinois
A group of postdocs also gets together to cycle on the roads and bike paths around Evanston. If you are interested in cycling with this group, please contact Cody FitzGerald at cody.fitzgerald@northwestern.edu. Typically, rides are organized for the weekends.
