The Allada laboratory is seeking energetic and highly motivated individuals to immediately fill a postdoctoral position funded via the NSF-Simons Center for Quantitative Biology at Northwestern University. Our research is focused on circadian clocks and sleep and incorporates a range of approaches including molecular genetics and genomics/systems biology, patch clamp electrophysiology and live imaging, and behavior. Specific projects include the application of RNA-sequencing to identify gene networks and biomarker signatures important for circadian rhythms (see Braun et al, PNAS, 2018). Experience with molecular biology, RNA-sequencing, bioinformatics, programming, and/or Drosophila highly preferred.
Northwestern University is located on Lake Michigan outside of Chicago, a diverse metropolitan community with leading arts and cultural institutions and a large international airport.
Interested individuals should send a brief statement of research interests, CV, and the names of three references by email to r-allada@northwestern.edu.
